Good Causes

2007 Poster Art Laura May Elston
We’re small time but we do what we can to help. Being grassroots ourselves, we feel the best fit is with charitable groups who “get right in there.”
We’re currently doing our stuff for the Daily Bread Foodbank and the Stephen Lewis Foundation. The notion is that we’re thinking and acting both locally and globally. We give food directly to the Daily Bread and we give as much $$ as we’re able to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
The Daily Bread helps provide food to those who most need it in the Greater Toronto Area, where astonishingly and sadly 18% of children and 40% of adults go hungry at least once a week.
The Stephen Lewis Foundation has since 2003 funded over 300 grassroots run projects in 15 sub-Saharan African countries. Small, front-line groups make effective use of comparatively small amounts of money in four critical areas: women, orphans, grandmothers and people living with HIV and AIDS.
Feeling in the mood? Why not mosey over right now, click and give a gift to some people who could really use it. Feel good!
